My Quest for the Lost Recycle Bin Plus another YouTube Sing-A -Long

Ok, am I the only one that didn’t know that regular trash and recyclable waste go to the same place? Well I guess I did hear before that everything goes to the same place, but I misunderstood. I didn’t realize that in some areas (not all from what I am told) have waste companies that collect their trash and recyclable waste in the same bin. Apparently, my apartment uses such a company for they’re waste needs. So here I was today, running around the Valley with a big ol’ trash bag of plastic/paper shopping bags, bottles and cans, trying to find a recycle center to do my part in promoting a healthy planet!!! And then at the end of my failed search I get home and what do I find?????? I sign on the trash bin outside saying that my apartment complex recycles…just throw everything in our bin and we sort it for you!! WTF! LOL! Well at least I made a conscious effort and at now I know now that when I throw all of my trash in the same bin (at least at my apartment complex) I am still recycling! I just really feel for the dude or chick who has to sort through everyone’s trash. It’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it! Thank you, Trash Sorters, for your valued service in the fight for a greener earth!

It’s never too late to “Apologize”…

The holidays are already here! I’m so excited!! I love this time of the year I’ve been staying really busy these past few months writing, writing, writing!! Some of the songs I’ve been working on are being shopped to various artists so hopefully one of them will get picked up soon!

I’ve also started working in the studio with a great producer I really admire artistically. I’ve known him for quite a while now (since I was 16!), but we never got together to work on music so I’m really happy we’re starting to work on a solo project for me. It’s something different from what would be expected of me so we’ll see how it all unfolds. I’m definitely enjoying the ride

So the cover song I’m singing for you today is really special to me because I assisted on the actual session for it where Timbaland recorded his beatboxing, keyboards and vocals at the Studio at the Palms! It was such an honor to watch an amazing producer like him at work. He’s always been one of my musical idols so I was so happy to be a part of that experience.

Here it is…I was lucky to have the engineer from that session record this live version of me singing “Apologize”. ….enjoy

p.s. The London Times just did an article on album covers and it included an interview with me about the Killers’ “Sam’s Town” cover. I’ll be posting the article in my next blog so look out for that!
